Generation of entangled photons in a semiconductor

Generation of "entangled" particles is one of the key features in quantum information and communication technology. So far, highly entangled photons are generated by parametric down-conversion (see the previous page). For practical quantum technology, generation of entangled photons in semiconductor materials is highly desired.
